Vietnam with the 3600km coastline brings tourists a lot of chances to admire the white sandy beaches or isolated fishing villages on the islands. We spent one week on holiday to explore one of those pretty islands whose name is Bình Ba Island in the central of Vietnam.
We took the flight from Hanoi to the nearest city – Nha Trang, spent 2 nights in Nha Trang to visit Monkey Island. From the city center, it takes us 40 minutes to reach the harbor and the speedboat transfers us to the island in just 5 minutes. Live up to its name, we ran into monkeys climbing around the trees, begging food or jumping off the cliff into the water to cool them down. The monkey island is such a tiny one that you can walk around in 30 minutes. People bring in an animal shows at certain times that definitely bring you laughter and fun. We chose a quiet corner at the back of the island to admire the calm sea with crystal clear water.
Next day, after checking out the hotel, we drove motorbike from Nha Trang city center to Bình Ba Island. From the city center, it took us 2 hours driving on one of most beautiful roads in Vietnam with the jungle on the right hand and coastline on the left. We stopped at Ba Ngòi Pier to take the speedboat to the island. It took us 30 minutes to reach the island and 10 minutes to walk to the hotel. Bình Ba island widens 5 square km with about 4000 inhabitants living on it. Upon arrival, we saw a number of fishing boats waiting to depart to the deep sea to harvest seafood. We were invited to rent a motorbike but actually you can walk around the island for more exercise.

On the other side, there are a few coffee shops to have a panoramic view of the village. Life on the island is pretty slow and chilled. People go to the market for fresh food in the morning, swim on the ocean in the afternoon and have some cold beers in the evening. We spent 2 day 1 night on thisisland to listen to the melody of the sea when we were calm to find peace in ourselves. We left the island next day to head south but the memories on the islands will definitely last forever.
